How does 37x Site Generation Work?

Updated over a week ago

TL;DR
37x lets you spin up a fully populated affiliate marketplace in one easy step. You provide a few key details (project name, vertical or custom idea, country, language, category-tree size), and our system automatically:

  1. Generates your category tree

  2. Enriches each category with descriptions and product keywords

  3. Creates and saves your store

  4. Sources and populates products into each category using product keywords from step 2.

After generation, you can review, customize, and launch your site in minutes.

1. Getting Started: Your Inputs

When you kick off a new marketplace generation process in 37x, you’ll fill out the following fields:

Field

Required?

What it does

Project name

Yes

A label for your marketplace. You can rename later. Tip: append a version number (e.g. “CoffeeGear v2”) if you plan multiple runs.

Vertical

Required (unless using Custom Idea)

A broad category (e.g. “Home & Garden”, “Gaming”, “Fitness”). Skip if you have a niche in mind, use Custom Idea instead.

Custom Idea

Required (if no Vertical)

Your own niche description (e.g. “artisan vegan chocolate”). Overrides Vertical.

Country

Yes

The market locale for product selection. Currently locked to UK (coming soon: USA, Canada, FR, DE, etc.).

Language

Yes

The language of your site. Currently English only. Aim to match this to your Country selected above.

Category Tree Size

Yes

Controls how many top-level and sub-categories we generate. Larger trees = more products but longer generation times. Defaults to “Medium” (≈ 500–2000 products).

Hard-coded Category Tree

Optional

Paste your own JSON category structure to override automatic generation. For the exact format please see our article on hard coded category trees for an example json structure.

Context

Optional

Extra guidance for our AI (keywords, themes, focus areas).

Persona

Optional

Describes your target audience to tailor category names, products, and copy.

Negative Keywords

Optional

Comma-separated terms to exclude (e.g. “dress, gown, tshirt etc..” if you don’t want clothing products).

Clickref

Internal only

Used by 37x for tracking/testing, as a user please ignore and leave blank.

2. Four-Step Generation Process

Once you click “Generate,” here’s what happens under the hood:

  1. Generate Category Tree

    • If you haven’t provided a hard-coded tree, our AI drafts a hierarchical category structure based on your Vertical or Custom Idea, plus any Context & Persona details.

  2. Enrich Categories

    • Each category gets a unique description and a set of targeted keywords.

    • Those keywords become search queries for product sourcing in step 4.

  3. Create Store Object

    • We bundle the category tree and enriched metadata into your new “Store” record.

    • Your store now appears in the 37x dashboard, ready for management.

  4. Source & Populate Products

    • For every category, we search affiliate networks and suppliers using your category keywords.

    • Matching products are added to your store automatically, while filtering out products with titles that include any negative keywords provided.

    • This runs in the background and can take from a few minutes (small trees) up to an hour or two (large trees).

Troubleshooting:
When reviewing your categories after site generation, If a category comes up empty, simply re-run the “Fetch Products” action on that category. You can run many fetch product requests in parallel.

If failures persist, revisit and refine your keywords. As we onboard new affiliate networks and suppliers our hit rate will improve further.

3. Post-Generation Checklist

Once generation is complete, follow these steps to polish and launch:

  1. Review Content

    • Browse categories, descriptions, and product selections.

    • Tweak categories, copy, descriptions, keywords or delete unwanted products.

  2. Branding & SEO

    • Set your site title, meta description, and hero image.

  3. Appearance

    • Choose a theme (colors, fonts).

    • Optionally add custom CSS or code.

  4. Product Enrichment

    • Enhance individual product data with extra images, specs, or AI-spun descriptions. Useful to help the marketplace rank on Google.

    • Control which affiliate networks or suppliers to include for consistency and quality.

  6. Analytics & Scripts

    • Add Google Analytics, Search Console, or other tracking via the Custom Code section.

  7. Preview & Launch

    • When ready, connect your own domain (or subdomain) and update DNS.

  8. Traffic & Growth

    • Drive visitors via ads, social channels, or long-form content.

    • Optionally link back to your main site in nav or footer.

  9. Monitor & Iterate

    • Regularly check performance metrics in the dashboard.

    • Spin up a new version any time by re-running generation with refined context or negative keywords.

  10. Future Payouts

    • Soon you’ll be able to receive affiliate commissions directly through the 37x dashboard.

4. Domain Strategy Tips

  • Subdomains vs. New Domains

    • If you already have domain authority, a subdomain (e.g. gear.example.com) helps search engines index faster.

    • For entirely new brands, a fresh domain avoids brand confusion.

  • SSL & DNS

    • 37x provisions SSL automatically. Just point your A/CNAME record to our servers. Exact records required will be shown in the site settings domain configuration management section of the dashboard.

  • SEO Best Practices

    • Align your domain and keywords with your vertical or niche.

  • Domain Name Publication Policy

With these steps and tips, you’ll have a fully functional, branded affiliate marketplace in no time. Happy generating!
